Privacy notice

What we collect, why, and how to control it.

Draft — subject to change

1. What we collect

  • Account: email address, and the profile fields you provide (name, headline, organization, role, country, optional bio/LinkedIn).
  • Activity: bookmarks you save and your reading progress on essays you open while signed in.
  • Technical: minimal request metadata (IP, user agent) retained only as long as needed for security and abuse prevention.

2. Why we collect it

To operate the Club: authenticate you, personalize your dashboard, remember what you've saved, and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal data and do not run behavioral advertising.

3. Legal bases (GDPR)

Contract (to provide the Club to you), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), and consent where required (e.g. optional newsletter).

4. Sharing

Data is processed by our hosting and database provider under a data-processing agreement. We do not share your profile publicly unless you explicitly mark it public in settings.

5. Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account from settings to remove it; some minimal records may be retained where required by law.

6. Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection. Contact us via the address in the site footer to exercise these rights.

7. Security

Sessions use httpOnly cookies. Passwords are not used — sign-in is via one-time email codes. Row-level security is enforced on all member data.

8. Changes

This notice will be finalized before general availability. Material changes will be surfaced in-app before they take effect.
